Original 40 Plymouth Driver!

This 1940 Plymouth 2 door sedan is showing 44000 original miles and is a good example of a bone stock 40's club coupe. Retains all the original drivetrain; 201 flathead 6 cylinder, 3 speed transmission and still a working 6 volt electrical system. The interior will need a little help, but is usable as-is. Door panels have been replaced with wood paneling, but the original pieces come with the car for patterns if you need them. The car is originally light blue, but was re-painted in the early 90's a B3 light metallic blue, and is showing age from outdoor storage. There is some rust in the trunk area, and some small spats of surface rust where the paint has chipped off on the outside. All the glass is intact and in good shape (no cracks) and all the windows roll up and down. This is a running driving car that starts right up with no tricks. Still has the original hand pinstriped 16" wheels and should have the tires replaced before extended trips. Has full new exhaust from the engine to the back bumper. Also has a fairly new 6 volt battery. All the chrome was removed when it was painted and never put back on, but the trunk is full of every piece that came off and is ready to be polished and installed. Brakes have been gone through but need final adjustment. They work fine after the first pump.

This is a car you can start tooling around the neighborhood in today, and something you can improve on along the way. Load up the kids, and their kids, and their friends and dogs, and show them what its like to go back 70 years for a ride to the local drive in.
