You have found an unrestored 1937 Buick 40 Special Touring Sedan with 53,987 original miles. This beauty was purchased by the 3rd and current owner in 2001. The car was originally sold new to a pharmacist in Moline, IL who went to trade the car in 3 – 4 years after buying it and did not like the proposed trade in value so he kept it. He still bought the new car and just drove this one just enough to kept the blood pumping. After owning it 44 years he had lost interest in it a decided to sell it. The second owner bought this car in 1981 and had it repainted immediately thereafter in its original color of black. The paint is showing its age and the interior is completely original but she still drips with coolness. The original 248ci 8 cylinder Dynaflash engine has never been rebuilt nor has the original 3 speed manual transmission. Because of the low mileage and good service habits there has been no need as the engine purrs like a kitten and the tranny shifts clean and crisply. The original Carter carb and semi-floating rear axle were both rebuilt about 9 years ago and work perfectly. This pre-war classic is a classy and elegant car that any gangster would have been proud to own back in the day. Sorry but there is no Gatling gun in the trunk. Within the last month it received a new battery as well as a fresh oil change and she is in need of nothing but a new home! Our asking price is less than the N.A.D.A. average value for a car of this description but this is by all means an above average car. We have priced it to move quickly so don’t wait to call us as it might too late! For more pictures and a video of the engine running, visit our website at www.hotrodschoppers.com!
