You have found one of the 67,308 1940 Buick Touring sedans ever made with 47,641 original miles. This beauty was purchased by the current owner in 2004 at which time the car had just received a complete mechanical restoration and still had its original faded paint and interior. Right after buying it the current owner had this rust free car professionally repainted in its original color of Burgundy and had a new Hampton Coach interior installed. The interior is an authorized GM replacement and is 100% correct including the new weather stripping, beading, wind laces and headliner. The original 248ci 8 cylinder Dynaflash engine has less than 1,000 miles on her rebuild as does the original Stromberg carb, the original Selective Sliding “3 on the tree” transmission and the original semi-floating rear axle. At the same time the drive line was rebuilt so were the brakes and suspension. The trunk is un-restored and still holds its original backing plate jack and spare tire. This pre-war beauty just oozes with class and looks like it came right out of Capone’s garage. Within the last month it received a new battery as well as a fresh oil change and she purrs like a kitten. It has been regularly serviced and is in need of nothing but a new home! Our asking price is equal to the N.A.D.A. average value for a car of this description but this is by no means an average car. We have priced it to move quickly so pick up the phone and call us before it is too late! For more pictures and a video of the engine running, visit our website at www.hotrodschoppers.com!
